LaShainna Baker, PMHNP-BC

Health Care Provider

I am LaShainna Baker, PMHNP-C, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in nursing and advanced psychiatric training. My areas of specialization include mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and adolescent mental health. I am passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care that integrates clinical expertise with a holistic understanding of each individual’s unique life experiences. Clients can expect a collaborative, respectful, and supportive environment where their concerns are heard, validated, and addressed with the goal of improving both mental health and overall well-being.

Clients should know that I believe in a patient-centered and collaborative approach to care. I place a strong emphasis on open communication and creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings. My philosophy is rooted in respect, empathy, and empowerment—I want clients to be active participants in their treatment. I value honesty and transparency, and I encourage clients to share feedback throughout the process so that we can adjust and tailor treatment to best meet their needs.

In our first session, I take time to understand your personal history, current challenges, and goals for treatment. From there, we work together to create an individualized care plan, which may include psychotherapy, medication management, or a combination of both depending on your needs. My treatment style is structured yet flexible: sessions are focused on addressing immediate concerns while also building long-term strategies for resilience and recovery. I use evidence-based practices and routinely monitor progress, adjusting the plan as needed to ensure the best possible outcomes. Above all, my goal is to provide care that is compassionate, collaborative, and effective.
